The details make the difference.
Family-run since 1989. The same family, the same hands, the same standards.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Landscaping for people who take pride in their property.
There are plenty of landscapers who can lay a patio or plant a tree. What we do is different. We design outdoor environments that improve with age. Where every element, from the grade of the ground to the placement of a single tree, is chosen deliberately.
We don’t offer cookie-cutter designs or packaged solutions. Every property has its own topography, soil, exposure and character. Every client has their own taste. Our job is to understand both.
All design is done in-house by our team, the same people who will walk your property with you, build what was designed, and be back each season to keep it looking the way it should. From first conversation to final walk-through, we manage every part of the process. One team, one standard, one point of contact.
THE PROCESS
From first conversation to last clean-up.
Every Robertson project begins with a conversation, not a quote sheet.
We walk the property, ask questions, and take the time to understand how you use the space, what you want it to look like, and what it needs to do five, ten and twenty years from now.
STEP 01
Consultation & Site Walk
We meet you at the property, walk the site, and talk through your goals. No obligation. No pressure.
STEP 02
Custom Planning & Design
We develop a custom design in-house, built around your property, your taste, and the way it will evolve over time.
STEP 03
Construction & Development
The same team that designed your landscape builds it. Managed by one expert, trusted team.
STEP 04
Seasonal Maintenance
We come back. Season after season. To make sure your property matures the way it was meant to.
A family business, in every sense of the word.
Robertson Landscaping started in 1989 with a pickup truck, some hand tools, and a wheelbarrow.
We are rooted in the community and have enjoyed building long-term relationships with clients and suppliers alike. Some of those relationships go back more than 30 years, and we now have the pleasure of working with the second generation.
We believe a landscape project is a long-term relationship: the goal is a property that looks beautiful from day one and equally beautiful as it evolves as trees grow, seasons change, and the design matures.
Clayton & Malcolm Robertson
Clayton has worked in the landscape and nursery industry since high school. He moved to Mount Forest with his family in the early 90s and established Robertson Landscaping in 1989. Through the years, the business expanded to serve a variety of residential and commercial clients throughout Southern Ontario.
Malcolm grew up in the business. After university, he joined Robertson Landscaping full-time in 2021. Business operations gradually transitioned from Clayton to Malcolm from there, and Malcolm now owns the business and runs the day-to-day operations. Clayton is still involved in the business today and enjoys focusing more on design work and nursery stock.
We’re always looking for skilled people.
If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a team that does too, we’d like to hear from you.
